3 Stunning Before and After Interior Design Transformations

Every home holds potential, sometimes hidden behind years of outdated finishes, awkward layouts, or simply the wrong atmosphere. At Arsight Studio, we don't just redesign spaces; we make what they were always meant to be. With each project, our goal is to create something meaningful, personal, and lasting, homes that feel as good as they look.

We work closely with clients to understand how they live, what they value, and how their homes can better reflect that. Through craftsmanship, natural materials, and thoughtful layout changes, we make dated rooms into spaces that feel calm, connected, and intentional.

Each of the transformations below is pulled from our completed projects across New York.

Before & After Transformations

From historic brownstones to compact city lofts, these projects show how much a space can change when every detail is considered, from structure to lighting and textures to flow. These before-and-after home interior design transformations are makeovers that completely reimagine how a home feels and functions.

1. Hell’s Kitchen Apartment - A Cozy Retreat with River Views

Location: Hell’s Kitchen, NYC

Before: The 820 ft² apartment called for a more cohesive flow and thoughtful balance. The furniture pieces felt disconnected, and the wall colors didn’t reflect the inviting warmth the space deserved - especially at sunset, when light should have wrapped the home in a soft, golden glow.

After:

We opened the space to light and warmth. A new layout turns the dining table toward the Hudson, perfect for dinners framed by sunsets and passing boats. Soft textures and natural materials - wood, linen, and greenery bring a calm, lived-in feel. The classic PH5 lamp now casts a gentle golden glow at night, tying everything together. By the window, a small reading corner with a comfortable chair and table invites quiet moments.

The bedroom, wrapped in wood and white sheets, feels serene, while the office stays bright and simple, facing the city skyline.

Best Part: The reading nook. The sun comes in every morning.

Result: A city home that feels like a quiet getaway.

2. Brooklyn Brownstone – 120-Year-Old House, Brand New Heart

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Before: An old, tired 3-story house. Dark hallways. Small rooms. Old kitchen with broken cabinets. The history was there, but buried.

After:

We took everything out and started fresh, but kept the soul.

  • Kitchen: Custom oak cabinets. A long waterfall island in white stone.
  • Bathroom: White subway tiles. Warm wood vanity. Rain shower.
  • Powder Room: Tiny yet special, marble hexagon floor, accent wallpaper, brass mirror.
  • Stairs: Old wood kept and polished. New light from above.

Every room feels new but respects the 120-year-old bones.

Best Part: A refined home that respects its past while embracing the present.

Award: Finalist in NYCxDesign and winner of SBID Awards.

3. Heywear Lab – Store  That Changes in 1 Hour

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC

Before: A 2,100 sq. ft. white box. One big room. No zones.

After:

  • Thick velvet curtains hang from the ceiling, pull them to make soundproof partitions.
  • White brick + wood floor.
  • One hour = new layout: eye test area, relax zone, or party space.
  • Bright curtains add color.
  • Hidden lights and soundproof fabric.

Now, the staff can easily move partitions and change the whole store fast. Customers feel welcome. The brand looks professional, but smart and fun.

Best Part: Same space. 3 different uses.

Result: A store that grows with the day.

Your Space, Your Story

Every project begins with a conversation about how you live or the identity of your brand, not just the latest design trends. These transformations reflect that approach. Whether it’s a full home renovation or a retail store makeover, our focus is always the same: making spaces feel more inviting, natural, and more connected to the people who live in them.

If you are planning your own transformation, we’re here to help you find the hidden potential in your space and bring it to fruition with care, purpose, and clarity. Ready to begin? Reach out to Arsight Studio, and let’s talk about your space.
